Starting a blog can be a time warp; sign up on WordPress.com, discover WordPress.com limitations, sign up for a unique domain name and host on independent server outside of WordPress.com, learn that using WordPress now requires independent software installation because you’re off the reservation bunky, engage the
software installation services for WordPress 2.9 and now find a Theme for the blog — <many hours pass> — decide upon using Themes 1.7 in the Classical Cut Style and go through all the installation Rig-A-Ma-Roll with downloads, uploads, permissions, yada, yada …. it’s just the beginning and it’s going to be a beautiful ride.

Thank for stopping by, Jim — I have a couple more posts in Draft mode, but I realize I’m going to have to just “get content posted” and not worry so much about the cropping the pictures
